About Western Star Dancers
Western Star Dancers attracts a wide range of aficionados, from investment bankers to vampire slayers. We're a friendly bunch who enjoy square dancing, yellow rocking, and stacking wood. We also enjoy costumes and pets. If you feed us we smile.

Currently Western Star Dancers is actively involved in having square dancing recognized by the International Olympic Committee as a sport. It requires more energy than synchronized swimming, and more skill than luge. If we are successful we hope to represent the United States favorably at the 2012 Summer Olympics and look forward to the day when olympic square dancing will occupy the high-prestige ranks of figure skating and women's gymnastics.
On a local level, Western Star Dancers is spearheading a joint venture with NASA to host the first intergalactic square dance expo. We're calling it “Alle-moon Left” and plan to have such square dance luminaries as George Clooney, Scarlett Johanssen, Prince, the Duchess of Windsor, Samuel L. Jackson, Lucy Liu, and five-time international square dance champions Craig Ferguson and Orlando Bloom. So far the buzz around this event is intense! Check back periodically for more information and ticket sales.
